Spurs held by 10-man Arsenal, Man City thrash Villa
Alexis Sanchez’s 76th-minute equaliser gave Arsenal a point after two quick goals from Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane had put Spurs in front following Aaron Ramsey’s opener and Coquelin’s dismissal.

Hours after seeing fellow title rivals Tottenham and Arsenal draw 2-2 in the north London derby, Leicester beat Watford 1-0 away to extend its lead to five points with just nine games remaining.
Arsenal came from behind to salvage a draw in a dramatic North London derby at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
Wenger was incensed after Tottenham’s Eric Dier escaped a second yellow for pulling back Olivier Giroud in the second half but Pochettino responded that Gunners full-back Hector Bellerin could also have been sent off late on. “It was a game that means a lot to us and the feeling is we missed a big opportunity to move forward but we are young and I was proud of my team”.
Arsenal remains three points behind Tottenham, sitting in third place in the Premier League table.
Coquelin was cautioned for handling the ball while on the ground as the Gunners struggled to get a foothold in the game, only for them to go ahead shortly afterwards.
“I’m very disappointed. That was definitely a poor performance and “going down” material”, McClaren said.
The clash got off to a slow start, although Harry Kane did test David Ospina with efforts from distance in the opening 10 minutes.
Asked about Arsenal’s title chances, Wenger said: “I don’t know because I don’t know what to say anymore about that”.
“I am pleased. It’s true, when it was 2-1 I am little bit disappointed with the result, but we have to be happy we keep the three-point gap to Arsenal”, Pochettino said. Sergio Aguero scored two of the four second-half goals and struck the post with a penalty to miss out on a hat trick.
Arsenal fans have always stated that they have found their answer to the defensive midfielder’s problem with Francis Coquelin but for all his ability on the field, we have no idea what he was thinking regarding both his yellow cards.
“I think the referee should come into the press room after the game as well”. The same can not be said of the other contenders.
