Spurs, Arsenal draw 2-2 as Man City thrashes Villa 4-0

The Express is reporting that Claudio Ranieri is the man that Italy want as a replacement for current head coach Antonio Conte, who looks set to move to Chelsea after Euro 2016.

But the Italian dismissed the link, insisting that he will not be distracted in his quest to lift his first major trophy with the Foxes.

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri addressed the rest of the season in his pre-match press conference. It’s my philosophy. There are 10 matches left.

“You have to deserve it”, said Ranieri.

Algerian Mahrez scored his 15th league goal of the season following a sweet strike from the edge of the penalty area in the 56th minute before being substituted.

Leicester will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table when they make the trip to mid-table Watford in Saturday’s late kick-off.

United are level on points with Manchester City in fourth place in the Premier League as they chase a third successive league win at West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

Leicester beat Watford 1-0 at Vicarage Road this evening.

“We want to continue to fight match-after-match, step-by-step, and now our mind is on Newcastle which is another tough match at home”.

European soccer’s ruling body UEFA, which organizes the Champions League, said on Friday it was working hard to finalize the format of all its club competitions for the 2018-21 cycle by the end of this year.

“This season has been okay and I don’t know what we can achieve”.

Leicester struggled to break down a Watford side who have also impressed for much of the campaign in a low-key first half. “They scored two goals as well but we can take positives”.

West Ham United scored three goals in the closing minutes to secure a dramatic 3-2 win over 10-man Everton, who had Kevin Mirallas sent off after 34 minutes, at Goodison Park. There was a slight blot on their copy book, though, as Mahrez went down injured clutching his leg, with Ranieri replacing him shortly after.

Following the 2-2 draw in the north London derby earlier in the day, Leicester knew they had a great opportunity and started the game with a real intent, inside three minutes Jamie Vardy latched onto a long ball-up field and rounded an on-rushing Gomes only to see his shot cleared off the line.

“They are trying to do something, but I think people must think about what fans want, not only about money, because the culture and the fans are more important than other things”.

Ranieri said he was so focused on preparing his team to face Watford he was unaware of the result at White Hart Lane.
