Different Nights for Clinton, Sanders
Cruz desperately needed a win in Texas in order to stay in the race, and was likely to keep campaigning as the only Republican who has been able to defeat Trump in any primary contest.

Super Tuesday was the biggest single day of state-by-state contests to select party nominees for the November 8 election to succeed Democratic President Barack Obama. In Texas, half of GOP primary voters said they were angry. He says, “we’re feeling pretty good”. Clinton specifically, according to the poll, beats Trump 52% to 44% among registered voters, and Sanders also enjoys wide leads on all three Republican candidates.
Tuesday continued a pattern for Clinton: she is very reliant on the black vote.
“No, I would not vote for Hillary Clinton”, the former Virginia senator said. Winning those states could boost Trump to a commanding lead in the delegate count, but Florida is Rubio’s home state and OH is home for John Kasich, the state’s governor. The former first lady’s daughter, Chelsea Clinton, and former President Bill Clinton made campaign appearances on her behalf in the days ahead of the caucus. But the Sanders campaign points out it seems to be doing better with rural and younger voters.
He was watching the primary results side by side with Republican students, some of whom dislike their party’s front runner, Donald Trump.
Independents who pulled Democratic ballots tilted toward Sanders by a almost 2-1 margin, but Clinton held the majority of voters who call themselves Democrats. “And for us, it’s really important because we are refugees who have settled here 10 years ago”, said Mukeba, who just finished a master’s degree program at the Vermont Law School and is unemployed.
Republican voters say government spending, the economy and terrorism are the biggest issues.
“I think you’re going see an east/west divide… with people in Lincoln supporting Hillary”, he said.
Many believe that this is her time, and she’s the candidate voters are looking for to get the job done. While the tight race with Sanders up to that point meant that most of her speeches focused on him, her latest speech shifted gears instead to highlight the differences between her campaign, and those of the Republican candidates.

“It’s clear tonight that the stakes in this election have never been higher and the rhetoric we’re hearing on the other side has never been lower”, she said.
