According to the new software update schedule released by Telus, Android 6.0 Marshmallow should arrive for Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 on March 13, although it was initially scheduled for March 9.

It is also worth noting that the update is being sent to the unlocked and global variants of the Galaxy S6. Big Red has officially announced the news, and the 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for the Note 5 brings it to software version VRU2BPB2 with build number MMB29K. For Galaxy Note 5 users, this has been coming ever since Samsung Galaxy S6 users begun receiving the update.

The HTC One M8 might have become two years old now, but the phone is still on HTC’s list of important devices to be upgraded. Samsung and HTC devices started receiving this update quite sometimes back, but due to delays usually associated with wireless carriers, the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow update had yet to hit devices using this network. The update will bring a lot of new features along with the latest Sense UI.

The upgraded Google-run OS is expected to give users an improved experience in Live Broadcast and Wi-Fi Calling for HD Voice. If so, then you should keep a lookout for an update prompt from Samsung.

A further improvement with this update comes with Samsung’s squircle icons and folder designs, and it will also remove the pre-installed Amazon Appstore. If you’re impatient, you can always force your handset to manually check for the new software by going to Settings About phone. Versi revealed that Verizon would provide One M8 users with the latest Android 6.0 upgrade. However, it certainly makes a pleasant change for Verizon customers to receive an update before other device users.
