A local teenager’s search for his biological father has gone viral throughout the community. He says his mother met a man at the very first K-Rockathon in 1996 at Vernon Downs, which featured the Butthole Surfers, Seven Mary Three and Toadies.

“I am the product if that night”. He went to the first K-Rockathon… “I’m not asking for much”.

The post has been shared over 10,000 times since it was uploaded on Wednesday and Mr Collins said a number of people had made contact with tips on who his Dad could be.

USA man Jette Collins was the result of a chance meeting between his mother and a man at the 1996 concert.

“I don’t want anything from him”, Collins said in a phone interview with PIX11 News.

“Thank you all for (your) support and all the help you guys have provided me with”, Collins said. Collins says he hasn’t had any leads yet, but he’s floored by all of the people who are trying to help. “I couldn’t … even have this opportunity without any of you”.

As seen on his Facebook post, Collins wrote, “I don’t know if this actually works but I’m going to try it, just hoping for the best and a little luck”.
