On Wednesday, Trump confirmed that he would be visiting the southern border this week because he had been “invited by border patrol and they want to honor me, actually, and thousands and thousands of ’em because I’m speaking up”.

“Donald Trump continues to show hourly that he is ill-prepared to be commander in chief”, Christian Ferry, Graham’s campaign manager, said in a statement.

Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump waves after arriving for a visit to the U.S. Mexico border in Laredo, Texas, Thursday, July 23, 2015. McCain, a Republican from Arizona who is a friend of Graham, was the party’s 2008 presidential nominee.

He ruffled the feathers of the Republican establishment and turned nearly all his presidential rivals against him, thanks to incendiary rhetoric.

A statement from Trump’s office said that border patrol agents have been “silenced” by superiors in Washington, D.C.

His trip to the border was clearly a political ploy to boost his already sky-high support among “rapists” “criminals” and Mexican immigrants and their families who, Trump made sure to tell us, love Trump.

“I’m disappointed in what he’s done”, she said.

Donald Trump has arrived at the U.S.-Mexico border. Either they can leave Trump alone and let him destroy the party as a Republican candidate, or they can attack Trump and set the stage for him to ruin their odds of winning the White House as an Independent. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island came up behind Graham, clapped a hand on his back and said, “I’ve been trying to call you, but I haven’t been able to get through!”

The executive board of the National Border Patrol Council Local 2455 was scheduled to meet with the 2016 presidential candidate Thursday afternoon in Laredo, but announced Thursday morning they would not participate in any events with Trump. As stated by the most recent Washington Post/ABC News Poll taken over the weekend, Trump is clocking in with 23 percent of the vote of leaning Republicans – putting him at a 10-point lead over second-place finisher Jeb Bush.

“If all else fails, you can always give your number to the Donald”, Graham says in the clip.

Asked if he would change his tone as president, Trump told CNN late Wednesday: “I think so”.

He added, “That was one of the most offensive things I’ve heard a public official say in my 30-plus years of politics”.

WGNTV reports that on Tuesday Trump called Graham an “idiot” after Graham called him a “jackass” in an interview.

McCain roused Trump’s temper last week when the senator said the businessperson’s inflammatory remarks about Mexican immigrants had brought out the “crazies”.

That wasn’t the end of Perry railing against Trump, not by a long shot, but that was the best line.
