Boy, 11, nails hole-in-one on Tiger Woods new Montgomery course
Jason Day, victor of the 2015 PGA Championship and one of the consensus modern Big Three (along with Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy), said on Wednesday that he had a almost hourlong encouraging phone conversation last week with Woods.

AN 11-year-old from Corpus Christi had a day he’ll never forget on the golf course – and it happened with Tiger Woods watching.
” … Obviously I don’t think the mental game is as sharp right now, but it will be”.
Woods posted the YouTube video on his Twitter page, which has since gone viral, being viewed nearly 500,000 times. “I couldn’t play with my kids”.
At the press conference, Woods revealed that he was in a bad state during December’s Hero World Challenge, although he was doing “a helluva lot better ” . “In order to do that, I have to get healthy”, Woods said.
A junior high student from Bishop is now on Tiger Woods’ radar. He also wrote that he and son Charlie have three-hole chipping contests, with the loser having to do push-ups.
Woods has been recovering from back surgery last year and has not put a date on his comeback, with the first major of the year, The Masters, only a month away. “I can’t say I’m playing next week, or playing Houston, playing here, playing there”.
The Queenslander is one of eight Australians playing in the World Golf Championship’s Cadillac Championship beginning late tonight, eastern time.
“When will I know?”

While Woods gave no indication of when he’ll return to tournament play or even to full practice, he sounded like a golfer intent on making it back. “Talking to him, every time that I talk to him, it’s just every time it comes up, it’s mind-set, mental, mental toughness, effort”. I feel like it’s something I’m going to stick with, regardless of what the outcome is tomorrow, or this week or next week. If it was a course that he did not like, he was just going to flat out execute you.
