Clinton And Trump Tighten Grip On Nominations
Although Sanders comfortably won his home state of Vermont, along with Oklahoma, Minnesota and Colorado, it is now valid to ask whether Clinton – who won seven states on Super Tuesday – will in fact be the Democratic nominee for president at the party’s July convention.

Hillary Clinton was riding a wave of momentum heading into Super Tuesday, after handily beating Democratic rival Sen. “It’s clear tonight that the stakes in this election have never been higher and the rhetoric we’re hearing on the other side has never been lower”, said Clinton, who is trying to become America’s first female president.
Top advisers to Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders say his campaign is far from finished in part because upcoming contests could be more hard for front runner Hillary Clinton. So, after the 66 was divvied up proportionally according to the state party’s caucus rules, 38 to Sanders and 28 to Clinton, the superdelegates were free to choose which candidate to support.
Trump corralled the largest share of voters who were angry with government, with more than half voting for him.
Sanders’ religion is least likely to be an issue for the young, in the context of a recent Pew Research study that indicated 10% of voters regard being Jewish as a factor in a candidate’s electability. “I would think the majority of them are Sanders supporters”.
The worries among Republicans appeared to grow after Trump briefly refused to disavow former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke during a television interview. Some of the states that are voting and caucusing today have small numbers of pledged delegates at stake (16 for Republicans and 16 for Democrats in Vermont, 40 for Republicans and 32 for Democrats in Arkansas).
This will also be Clinton’s second event at Radio City Music Hall with John.
But as the contest has expanded past the largely white electorates of Iowa and New Hampshire, Sanders has struggled to capture support from the minority voters who make up a large piece of his party.
Clinton racked up early wins in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Arkansas and Texas, but the close race in MA wasn’t decided until late Tuesday. She said the “biggest insult of all was to the American people” and the economy was an “afterthought” during the Republican debate.

If all you want from Super Tuesday is a headline, the best bet is that this will be what you get: “Trump and Clinton Win.” . Voters who wanted a change in course, and valued honesty the most, chose Sanders. Bill Romjue, state director of the Sanders campaign in Nebraska, said he’s certain Sanders’ plan to even the economic playing field will win over Nebraska Democrats. Approximately 2,000 new Democratic voters have registered in Douglas County since February 1. Preliminary results include interviews with 806 Democratic primary voters and 1,164 Republican primary voters.
