Arsene Wenger fired a stinging response to Thierry Henry’s claim that Arsenal fans were as angry as he’s seen them following Wednesday night’s shock defeat by Swansea.

“He’s always under pressure”, Seaman told Omnisport.

Such a deficit would be nigh-on impossible to make up with only nine matches to go, and Arsenal can ill afford to put themselves in that position if they harbour genuine hopes of winning their first league title since 2004.

“We get to this stage of the season quite a lot with Arsenal and we tend to lose out quite heavily”.

The Frenchman said the crucial part of the season was upon his team, telling them the time had come to deliver.

Henry had taken a swipe at Arsenal ahead of today’s north London derby with Tottenham. The title race would change but not, you suspect, the sheer unpredictability of Arsenal under Wenger in this latest decade where they could just as likely lose to Hull City in the FA Cup on Tuesday or West Brom next weekend.

“Now this is crunch time in the last 10 games and we will see”.

Wenger also clarified he was aware of the discontent among Arsenal fans following their inconsistent showings and three-game losing streak going into the White Hart Lane clash, but he and his players would stay professional. “It’ll be a tough game, but it’ll be a good one to watch”.

“It will be a massive loss because Petr is a great goalkeeper, but David has been in there before and shown what he can do”, he added.

Arsenal were booed off the pitch by their own fans at the Emirates Stadium as they slumped to a damaging defeat which saw them lose further ground at the top of the table. “David will come in and do his stuff; if the back four do their stuff David will have nothing to do”.
