Stallone, 69, was spotted leaving an Atlanta hotel where the movie’s cast stays, a source told the Daily News. It is believed Stallone was on his way to Pinewood Studio in Georgia to film.

It was previously reported that Kurt Russell is also going the “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” family.

If the speculation is indeed true, Cinema Blend notes that Stallone will be the second action movie icon that will be seen on “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”. But there were other rumors that an additional new character would be the evil Ego the Living Planet, a giant force which could easily have the voice of Stallone to make it even more imposing.

If Stallone is indeed one of the cast members of the film, he joins Tommy Flanagan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Chris Sullivan, who are all newcomers to the franchise.

James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will see the return of Christ Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as Groot’s voice, and Bradley Cooper as Rocket’s voice. All of them will reprise their roles in the said film.

Major casting for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 seemed to be completed a few weeks ago, with Kurt Russell as the biggest new name. The director recently shared a behind-the-scene photo of the entire cast’s rehearsal on his Instagram page.
