The company said the bookings for Vitara Brezza is now open at its 1799 dealerships across India.

Vitara Brezza is among the first of a new range of products in which the company’s Indian engineers have played a bigger role in designing and development as parent Suzuki looks to enhance its base here. Available only in diesel variant, Vitara Brezza is priced at Rs 1 lakh – Rs 1.2 lakh lower than its immediate competitors Ford EcoSport Diesel and it undercuts Mahindra TUV 300 with Rs 12,000 to Rs 25,000 depending on the variant.

The company said it will focus on the domestic market and has not planned for exports of the model as of now.

Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line ZDi+ (Rs 9.68 lakh) comes loaded with all bells and whistles including Apple CarPlay, navigation and reverse parking camera display, push-button start, cruise control, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, power folding wing mirrors and a front armrest. The new Vitara Brezza also gets a well contoured dashboard and a decent amount of space on the rear and the front seats. With a height of 1640mm, the Brezza has ample headroom and “can accomodate occupants with at least 18 different headgear”.

“Vitara Brezza marks our entry into the popular compact SUV segment”. The Vitara Brezza is capable of attaining a class-leading, ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 24.3 km/l. Vitara Brezza brings the muscle, glamour and style that were so far missing in this segment.

On the exteriors, the front profile of the sub 4-metre compact SUV features chrome finished honeycomb front grille, LED day time running lights, fog lamps, well designed body coloured front bumpers, large air-dam with silver skid plate and raised-up hood.
