Sanders beats Clinton in ME caucuses

Rick Snyder took to Twitter Monday to defend himself against accusations that he mishandled the Flint water crisis, after both Democratic presidential candidates called for his resignation in Sunday night’s debate.

Bernie Sanders’ position on gun legislation won praise from the NRA Monday – which Hillary Clinton’s campaign pounced on as proof he’s on the wrong side of the issue.

We’ve moved into a territory, for Democrats, where they don’t simply know better than poor people what poor people should do with their lives, but that they know who poor people are better than poor people do. Maybe they’re going to put him on the ticket then. “Sanders”, Clinton responded, interrupting again.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also came to west MI, touring and talking with workers at software development company Atomic Object in Grand Rapids.

For the most part, Clinton and Sanders passed over questions created to pit them against each other. “So when I become president, I will make sure every single department is doing all that it can to help with the infrastructure problems and with the human problems”, she said. But the debate was nothing like the show the Republicans put on in their last debate, which was marked by a steady stream of personal attacks and even sexual innuendo. He described going shopping with his mother as a boy in Brooklyn, New York, and seeing people with numbers on their arms from Nazi concentration camps.

‘I’m very strongly pro-choice, ‘ Sanders said according to the Huffington Post. He voted against the money that ended up saving the auto industry. The two contenders cut each other off on several occasions, a rare occurrence in a race that has been much more polite than the raucous Republican presidential campaign.

It was a marked change in tone for the two Democrats, signaling Sanders’ increasingly hard effort to slow the momentum of the party’s front-runner.

“Secretary Clinton went out of her way to mischaracterize my history as it relates to the 2008 auto industry bailout”, the Vermont senator said during a rally in Kalamazoo, Michigan. But Gunnels can not plausibly say that Sanders did not know that the second vote in January 2009 did not contain funding for the auto industry.

Snyder quickly tweeted that “political candidates” will be leaving Flint and MI in a few days after the state’s primary but he is “committed to the people of Flint”.

While the first 20 minutes of the historic debate focused exclusively on the Flint water crisis, Sanders flexed his muscle, quickly moving to the Detroit public Schools crisis. “We have a higher rate of tested lead in people in Cleveland than in Flint”.
