But when asked if Arsenal were out of the title frame after Wednesday’s defeat, former Gunners goalkeeper Seaman said: “All that happened this week was that we lost one extra point to Leicester”.

Arsenal are the only side in the top three to have gone through the highs and lows of a title race in recent seasons, but Pochettino dismissed the theory that experience could be decisive.

Arsenal slumped to a second straight defeat on Wednesday, losing 2-1 at home to relegation-threatened Swansea City on the back of a 3-2 loss at Manchester United last weekend.

The Gunners are preparing for a must-win match against Tottenham that could determine if they have a chance at the Premier League title.

And what better way to do that than to win the North London Derby?! Have your say below in Standard Sport’s Poll of the Day!

Michail Antonio and Andy Carroll of West Ham United shake hands after the Barclays Premier League match between West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur at Boleyn Ground on March 2, 2016 in London, England.

“We had to make the decision before the game because he had a little groin problem but he declared himself 100 per cent fit, ” he said.

“If we had to take one game out of the season, for the fans, then it’s Spurs at home”. But in the second-half, we played better and we created some chances to go level but it was hard.

“It will be tight, it could go down to the last game, but I think Tottenham might just edge it”.

Mauricio Pochettino has added solidity to Spurs, whilst maintaining a certain attacking flair.

“They were here for a lot of years and obviously we are big friends”.

Wenger said: “We had all the ingredients to win the game, but football is football – it is cruel sometimes”.

It may have been Antonio’s early goal that settled nerves – or frayed them further – but either way West Ham put on an impressive display to confirm their status as a legitimate top six side.

” I think Leicester are favourites because of the fact that their loading is so much less, in terms of the European commitments ” , the Rangers manager told a press conference.

“Of course, we can not play in the way we did”.
