For the second year in a row, the government faced embarrassing moments in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday as the opposition forced an amendment to the motion of thanks on the president’s address.

He also laid emphasis on cooperation between the two houses to ensure the country progressed. Members (ministers) are working overtime to prepare themselves to answer any question they may face (related to their ministries)”, he said, and added “this is the power of democarcy ” .

The Prime Minister was at his oratory best when he addressed the Upper House of the Parliament and also dealt with the opposition Congress’ criticism single-handedly. The cancer and old age is blamed but not the death.

The country is waiting for us to clear bills like GST.those representing people in Parliament have approved it, but those representing states have opposed it, says Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He claimed, his government has been able to bring about good governance, which has brought transparency, accountability and decentralisation.

Sometimes I feel Congress is also blessed (like death).whenever we criticise Congress, media says “opposition is under attack”, however, when the ruling establishment criticises parties like Janata Dal-United or Bahujan Samajwadi Party, the media says “JD-U is under attack or BSP is under attack”. “Because of insufficient hygiene poor people are compelled to invest additional money on medications”, he said.PM Modi firmly defended his government’s formidable guarantee to dual farmers’ income in five decades and asked the resistance to assist the government in reaching it.” obviously, it’s feasible to dual farmers’ revenue”, PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister had earlier made his reply in the Lok Sabha and after that, the motion was adopted in the house.

It was moved by Congress MP Gulam Nabi Azad.
