During the debate, Cruz pressed Trump to release a recording of his interview with The New York Times editorial board. Cruz asked viewers, arguing that Trump’s legal problems with his closed university and his financial contributions to Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign would spell huge trouble. “You’re the liar, you’re the liar”.
“I hope we don’t see yoga on this stage”, Cruz said. “Let’s leave it that”.
Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton has slammed her Republican rival Donald Trump for his hate-filled vision and has described the real-estate tycoon as “terrifying” . “Where does it come from?”
Cruz was very vocal throughout the debate, claiming he is the only candidate who has a proven record of being able to beat Trump.
“He’s trying to do to the American voter what he did to the people who signed up to his [university]”, he said.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus speaks prior to the start of the debate in Detroit. America doesn’t want to be a socialist country.

The Donald Trump ratings bump was in full effect.
For some in the audience at Detroit’s Fox Theatre, the blitz against Trump was too much.
“He is a stupid person”, the 2016 Republican front-runner said of the party’s 2012 nominee.
Trump called Rubio a “con artist” for missing a lot of Senate votes.
The debate was the first since this week’s Super Tuesday primary elections in which Trump won seven of 11 contests.
“Obviously, he wants to be relevant”, Trump said dismissively.

Later, Trump seemed exasperated when Kelly read tough passages from a legal case surrounding Trump University. Ben Sasse, suddenly making an about-face on the point after casting Trump in recent days as risky and woefully unprepared to lead the nation.
