Sushma Swaraj congratulates Deuba

External Affairs Minister of India Sushma Swaraj today extended a congratulatory message to Sher Bahadur Deuba on his election as President of Nepali Congress Party, the Embassy of India in Kathmandu said.
Tweeting about another Indian national in the war-torn country, the minister said “I have spoken to Sister Sally – an Indian national from Kerala. Our missions in Djibouti and Oman are providing all assistance”, further tweeted Swaraj.
Sister Sally survived after she hid herself from the gunmen after a guard sounded a warning cry about the attackers.

Stating that she was pained to hear about this, she said she would take up this issue with Russian authorities. She said, only agencies registered with the Centre are allowed for this objective.
In the gunfire, four nuns of the Missionaries of Charity, including one from India, were killed.

It has now been established that that these unidentified gunmen belonged to the Yemen-based affiliate of the Islamic State (IS) group.
