Mitt Romney joins GOP debate over Donald Trump: Darcy cartoon
Mr. Rubio, sensing an opportunity to repeat an attack from earlier, looked at Mr. Trump and shrugged. Instead, he believes one of Trump’s rivals has the ability to unite Republicans.

Mitt Romney’s scorching denouncement of Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump earlier in the day is expected to weigh heavily during tonight’s Fox News GOP debate in Detroit.
“If there’s anyone who’s ever deserved to be attacked that way, it was Donald Trump”.
“If they are small, something else must be small”.
“You get to the point where your grandkids are going to say to you, ‘Papa, what did you do to stop Donald Trump?’ And I had to finally get out and speak”, he said. “Let me tell you something, Ted, the last person that Hillary Clinton wants to face is Donald Trump”.
Trump lashed back in the debate, calling Romney “a failed candidate” who lost to President Barack Obama four years ago because he was such a poor candidate. “You all should be ashamed”, one Twitter user blasted out as he shared a CNN news story relating Trump’s declaration about his genitals.
“I think that the American people understand that yelling and cursing at people doesn’t make you a tough guy”, he said.
Rubio dramatically shifted his tone in the last debate and unleashed a torrent of criticism on Trump.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who has previously labelled Trump a conman, called for further attacks on the property magnate.
“For 40 years, Donald has been part of the corruption in Washington” that people are angry about, Cruz said, citing Trump’s campaign contributions to leading Democrats, including then-Sen.
Lauer asked the 2012 GOP presidential nominee three times about his 2016 ambitions, pressing for an “unambiguous” response after Romney appeared to leave the door to a bid slightly open.
“The other candidates are likely to stay in the race for the next few weeks”.
Trump consolidated his lead in the Republican race with a string of victories on Tuesday that moved him closer to becoming the nominee.
As Mediaite noted, Camerota asked Rubio to describe Thursday night’s debate and he said, “Well, I think it’s par for the course in this very unusual election”.

“Obviously, he wants to be relevant”, Trump said dismissively. Cruz has 231, Rubio 110 and Kasich 25.
