Boyfriend charged in death of former reality TV lawyer

Reagan is being charged with one count of murder with a knife and held on just over $1 million bail, according to Deputy District Attorney Frank Dunnick.
Officers were sent to the residence the couple shared in the 1900 block of Nelson Avenue about 7:20 a.m. Wednesday on an emergency call “from a distraught male”, later identified as Reagan, and discovered the victim dead inside. If convicted, Reagan faces a possible maximum sentence of 26 years to life in state prison. His arraignment is scheduled for August 20. They expect to attend probate court early next week. But he could not say whether the boy was home when Nesci was killed and if he was taken from the home before police arrived. Both Sal and Rob Nesci serve with the Meriden Police Department.
Neighbor Nicole Peterson, 29, said she didn’t hear any fighting before Nesci’s death. “It’s unfair. It’s like a nightmare and I’m waiting to wake up”. She moved to California in 1996 and worked as a Los Angeles police officer.
Nesci often posted photos and videos of her son and the family’s two dogs, Louie and Toukie, on her Instagram page. In 1998, she left the department and returned to Connecticut. A year later, she joined the Cadden, Ivers & Ivers law firm in Meriden, where she handled workers’ compensation cases, personal injury and family law cases, among other matters. She began hosting her own radio show in 2008.
Nesci was the namesake star of the reality series “Loredana, Esq.”, which first aired on Sundance TV in March 2014. “It’s one of those things we call an unknown trouble call”, Saucedo said Thursday.

It’s a safe, quiet neighborhood, and “you don’t think of anything like this happening”, she said.
