Nvidia’s latest driver, 364.47, can cause BSODs and reboot loops
An Nvidia 364.47 driver bug has been reported by users who tried to download the new updates which had been released recently by Nvidia specially for Tom Clancy’s The Division & Need For Speed.

Nvidia’s latest v364. 47 drivers, released this morning, have put quite a few cards out of commission, at least temporarily. 47 drivers from their servers.
We have reproduced the issue and our engineers continue to debug it.
As of Tuesday, Nvidia released a newer version of the driver and began to encourage players to install that one instead.
Having said that, Nvidia is aware of the issue and is investigating further. They say that multi-monitor setups seem to be the most commonly affected, though I’ve seen complaints from laptop users as well.
First spotted on Reddit, many users have reported issue with their PCs since upgrading to the latest driver. When installing over a previous driver version you might experience a crash while trying to install them, resulting in a black screen.
If it makes you feel better, the 2016’s best PC games all ran on the older driver anyway. 51 beta drivers fresh just to be on the safe side. After software driver installation is complete you can then go ahead and add your other monitors to your system.

There’s no clue what’s actually causing the problem, but it might be down to how you installed the driver; if you picked Express Installation you could be at risk.
