Odom’s family issued a statement Tuesday, saying they were thankful for the safe apprehension of their son.

Kyle Odom stood before a D.C. Superior Court judge Wednesday with his wrists and ankles shackled and wearing blue shorts, a green t-shirts and green sneakers.

Coeur d’Alene police chief Lee White told United States media Odom left behind material included a “manifesto ” .

TSA was not alerted to the warrant until after Odom took his flight.

Hours earlier, someone posted a message to Odom’s Facebook page claiming the Rev. Tim Remington was shot because the pastor was “from Mars” and had “ruined” Odom’s life, according to Washington television station KXLY. White wasn’t certain how the 30-year-old suspect got to Washington but said police were able to determine that he had boarded a flight at the Boise Airport sometime on Monday.

Odom contended that the Martians were here before humans, lived underground and operated a breeding program for humans, the manifesto said.

Odom later graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in biochemistry. “He gave me a thumb’s up last night when I went in”. “As Kyle was not living with us, we are learning of his plans as they are being released by police”.

“As you can see, I’m pretty smart”, the manifesto said. “I’m also 100% sane, 0% crazy”.

He lists 16 senators from both parties, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and dozens of House members as “noteworthy Martians”.

Despite a warrant for his arrest on attempted murder charges, Odom, who was considered armed and risky, flew from Boise to Washington on Monday.

Meanwhile, several news outlets in Spokane, Wash., received letters on Tuesday that purported to be from Odom, Coeur d’Alene police Detective Jared Reneau said. Remington regained consciousness on Monday evening as a candlelight vigil for his recovery was underway, Padula said. He alleges that Remington and Altar Church’s outreach pastor John Padula were part of the vast alien conspiracy “hiding in plain sight”. He then turned south before they lost his trail.

Odom says he shot Remington after the pastor’s “true face” as a Martian briefly appeared while Remington was attempting to persuade Odom to become a pastor himself.
