Game of Thrones has broken yet another record.

The first extended trailer for Game of Thrones season 6 is here, and it picks up exactly where season 5 left off – with (spoiler alert!) Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) bleeding on the ground. The video hops from morose to intense in the matter of seconds, with all your favorites present, yes even dead Jon Snow (Kit Harington) can be seen in the trailer.

The Game of Thrones season 6 trailer (embedded below) focuses heavily on the two central conflicts of the series, the war up North with the White Walkers and the political battle down South in King’s Landing.

And now, he has confirmed he has in fact been involved with shooting for season six of the series. “I filmed some scenes of me being dead – it’s some of my best work”.

Stannis being dead and Mel looking uncharacteristically weak and broken in the trailer adds weight to this – she needs a new warrior to ally with, and previously declared herself a fan of Jon’s (in her usual way – immediate disrobe!). “Everything they’ve taken from us they’re going to take back – and more”, he tries to console the grieving Cersei.

The Game Of Thrones Experience: Worlds Of Westeros runs from April 2 to 7, 10am to 10pm, at ION Orchard, Basement 4 Atrium. The trailer though suggests that there is something more to Jon Snow and Kit Harrington’s reappearance than a simple corpse cameo. There is arguably more disagreement among fans as to how he will rise again than as to whether or not it will happen. According to Watchers on the Wall, there is one scene where Melisandre and Davos are standing guard by Jon’s body. If you need a reminder to set the date in your phone, “Game of Thrones” is set to premiere on April 24.
