Meeks’ mugshot was posted on Facebook and went viral.
He also shared a family photo, and a picture of himself on a motorboat, which he captioned, “Looking forward to my time on the lake with my kids”.
The fact that he was in prison on a felony possession charge did not stop the talent agency known as White Cross Management from signing Meeks for modelling under agent Jim Jordan previous year.
The California felon, whose mugshot from a June 2014 arrest went viral and garnered him the nickname “hot felon”, has been released from prison and is now pursuing a career in modeling.
“I have not seen that many likes for a photo before”, he said.
Meeks will be spending the next few weeks in transitional housing “before he is completely free to start his new journey”, Jordan said. His manager, Jim Jordan told BuzzFeed “We’re putting everything in place; we’re in talks with a lot of different agencies.
His agent is also excited about the former prisoner’s future. There are movies on the table.
New York Daily News reported that the 32-year-old father of three from Stockton was released from Mendota Federal Correctional Institution.
