Samsung unveils Galaxy S7 in India for Rs 48900

The director of mobile business, Samsung India Electronics Manu Sharma while speaking to ANI in an exclusive interview here said the dual pixel technology in the camera added in the new flagship devices are unique and none of the smartphones in the market have including the iPhone. Well, there is some good news for Indian Samsung fans as the company has finally launched the S7 and S7 Edge for the Indian market.

The two latest smartphones from Samsung come with innovations in design, imaging, software functionality and connectivity with a host of other services. If you book it within this period, you will get a free Gear VR headset with the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge, just like in Europe.

It is also reported that the new Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge can move apps to its external micro SD storage.

Specification: Galaxy S7 has a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and the edge variant has a slightly larger 5.5-inch QHD dual-edge curved display. Add both phones to a qualified plan and after three billing cycles, you’ll start to receive a credit of up to $695, which is spread out over 30 monthly bill credits.

Manu Sharma, director mobile at Samsung India, said along with curated services, S7 customers will get to jump the queue at around 400 service centres and will also have pickup and drop facility with the option of getting a standby device if needed.

The Galaxy S7 draws its juice from a 3000mAh battery while a 3600mAh battery powers the bigger S7 Edge. The iPhone 6s Plus ran through the test cycle with 17 seconds to spare compared to the Galaxy S7 edge.

Both the S7 and S7 edge come with a lower resolution camera than its 16-megapixel predecessor. Buyers will have to make zero down payment while purchasing the 32GB Galaxy S7. Both Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processors. Further, the smartphones have a 5-megapixel front camera sensor with F1.7 aperture and pack a 3,000mAh battery.

The thing that was missed the most from the Galaxy S6 was probably the microSD, and it looks like Samsung paid attention due to its comeback in the newest phone.
