Golden State Warriors match another National Basketball Association record

This extended Golden State’s run of regular season wins at their home court, the Oracle Arena in Oakland, to 44, tying the record set by the Chicago Bulls, who went unbeaten from March 30, 1995 to April 4, 1996.

With 22 games left in their season, it now seems nearly inevitable that the Golden State Warriors will surpass the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls’ NBA record of 72 wins.

Curry finished with a game-high 33 points on his return to action after missing Tuesday’s win over the Atlanta Hawks with a sore ankle.

Era or no era, three-point shot or no three-point shot, the level at which Curry and the Warriors are dominating is one of the most spectacular things in the history of the game. The Warriors are 2-5-1 against the spread in their last eight games and that’s with Curry in the lineup.

After Golden State closed within one, the Thunder countered immediately with a 10-2 flurry, this one capped by an Ibaka 3-pointer that produced a nine-point lead at the 4:52 mark.

Indeed, the 43-game home win streak looked somewhat in peril when the Thunder offense started clicking and turned a two-point halftime deficit to a 80-71 lead with less than five to play in the third.

The Warriors have already clinched a spot in the playoffs, but are still within distance of losing the number one spot to the five-time champions San Antonio Spurs, who are just 3.5 games behind them.

The six-year veteran guard also became the first National Basketball Association player to make at least 10 three-pointers in back-to-back contests. Despite surprisingly tough Thunder defense in stretches, Golden State won the quarter 29-28.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr played on the Bulls team that set the record for consecutive regular-season home wins but didn’t have many memories of it. Eric Gordon added 23 points and Jrue Holiday scored 13.

“I’m not happy about how we’re playing”, Durant said.

It is likely two of the team’s top seven players would have to be traded or released which means that would likely be Andrew Bogut and Harrison Barnes.

The most awesome part about the Lakers is that they have one of the greatest players of all time on their team, Kobe Bryant (33,323 career points).

Reigning league MVP Stephen Curry returned to the lineup and the Golden State Warriors remained undefeated at home in a historic way.

During the game, Durant was seen briefly chatting with Steven Kerr the head coach for Golden State on the Golden State sideline.

Russell Westbrook shot 5-of-16 in the second half, following up a 3-of-8 display in the first half.

Serge Ibaka added 20 points for the Thunder, which was playing its second game in two nights.

During a recent interview with ESPN Robertson claimed the 2006/07 team would beat the current team, saying the modern game is less physical than the past.

The loss was the sixth in its past eight games for Oklahoma City, which blew a 22-point lead in their Wednesday defeat against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The 72-10 Bulls went on to win six NBA Championships
