The official Facebook Messenger for Windows 10 is nearly here and living proof is a beta listing of the app that showed up in the Windows Store just a few minutes ago.

Back at its Surface event in October 2015, Microsoft announced that Facebook was building universal Windows 10 apps for Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger.
The Windows 10 Messenger app has been a long time coming.
Following the leak, Facebook posted details of its upcoming Windows 10 Messenger app on the Windows Store.
Little is known about the release date of this new app, but the BUILD developer conference taking place later this month is very likely to witness the debut of the Facebook Messenger client for Windows 10.
And last but not least, you’ll be allowed to create groups for people you chat the most with, forward messages and photos to your contacts, and search people and groups to quickly send a new message.
As mentioned before, this is in internal testing at the moment, but it’ll be curious to see if Microsoft releases similar apps for Android and iOS devices once the Windows Phone version is released to the public. That particular restriction to a single is likely to remain as well, once the app is officially launched.

Future versions will include support for Microsoft account, a sign-in solution for browsers and VPN, one-time passcode generation, and MFA approval through notifications.
