Here (at City) they know what I want to do, they know I want to return to Argentina.
Argentine superstar Sergio Aguero has been the spearhead of Manchester City’s rise to the top in the Premier League. “No, when I go, when my contract ends, I’m going to Argentina to play for Independiente”. However, Aguero’s remarks would appear to rule out the possibility of City losing the player to one of their major European rivals, with the striker having been linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent times.
The 27-year-old, who has scored 128 goals for City since his £38million arrival in 2011, is committed to the club until 2019.
Per the report, City were hoping to sign Aguero to a new deal, but it now seems the Argentina worldwide is keen to return to his country of birth in the near future. But where am I going to go in Europe?
The bad news for Manchester City fans is that Sergio Aguero has once again reiterated his plans to return to his boyhood club Independiente.
Despite confirming his departure date from City, Aguero said he is relishing the prospect of working with incoming Blues boss Pep Guardiola this summer.
“It’s kind of insane with four months to go to know your coach is leaving and also to know who is his successor, but that’s how it is”, he said.
Aguero joined Independiente at the age of nine, made his senior debut at the age of 15 and has remained a devout fan of the club ever since.
“This year I haven’t talked about it with him [Messi], but when we were playing at the Copa America he was telling me about Guardiola”.

“But we know that we must win if we want to continue being involved in the title to the very end”.
