“There are two different Donald Trumps”, Carson said. “There’s the one you see on stage and the one that’s very cerebral, sits there and considers things very carefully”.
He concluded his message by urging Republicans to unite in supporting and rallying around the “only candidate the GOP has that can defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016 and return America to that shining city on a hill”.
Trump maintained that he has continued to hear from Republicans seeking to bring the party together.
Trump said Carson would help him with education and health care and hinted that Carson would potentially have a place in a Trump administration.
SEN. MARCO RUBIO (R-FL), Republican Presidential Candidate: If a voter in OH is motivated by stopping Donald Trump and comes to the conclusion that John Kasich is the only one who can beat him there, then I expect that is the decision they will make.
Carson sought to explain his endorsement of Trump in a note posted to his Facebook account where he argued that the businessman represented a deviation from the nation’s current direction of “uncertainty” and “ruination”.
“What I have seen recently is political operatives. trying to thwart the will of the people”, Carson said. “And he has such a great handle on it”, Trump said.
While Carson was a candidate, Trump said Carson had a pathological temper, comparing it to that of a child molester.
Trump, asked about the Two Trumps Theory, said: “I probably do agree”. And that’s what’s going to be a very interesting thing to see how it all turns out as we move forward over the next couple of weeks.
“There is a very significant number of Republicans that will never vote for him”, Rubio said on CBS This Morning.
The soft-spoken retired neurosurgeon, who dropped out of the race last week, addressed the issue of Trump’s combative and sometimes crude public image, saying the American people would be “comforted” when they discover a gentler side. “I’m going to be helping him”.
“I think I’m going to have the delegates, okay?”
“Having (Carson’s) support, really, it just adds total credence to what I’m trying to do and to what we’re all trying to do”, Trump said, introducing Carson.
His endorsement on Friday followed that of another former candidate, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who announced last month he was getting behind Trump.

“I didn’t know we had a next debate”. Voters in his home state who do not want Trump as the Republican nominee should support him, he said.
