Reporter tells police she was battered at Trump event

Breitbart News reporter Michelle Fields was attempting to ask Donald Trump a question after his surreal election night press conference on Tuesday when she was suddenly “jolted backwards”.

According to a report from The Daily Beast, after Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields was physically manhandled by Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, Breitbart PR made an angry phone call… to Fields. “I don’t think he did anything”, Trump said. We’re surrounded by Secret Service, many Secret Service, you see some of them here.

The conservative-leaning news site now claims its own investigation reveals that the incident “could not possibly have happened” as reported by Washington Post correspondent Ben Terris.

Terris did write his story for the Washington Post, detailing what he witnessed of the attack, and on Thursday, Fields tweeted a photograph of the bruise on her arm. “Fields stumbled. Finger-shaped bruises formed on her arm”. “Indeed, given Lewandowski’s adamant denials (coupled with statements inappropriately impugning Fields’s character), it is the likeliest explanation”. I personally have never worked with her.

Breitbart has given Trump favorable coverage throughout the campaign cycle.

Even Fields expressed surprise that anyone in the Trump campaign would target someone from her organization.

“I watched as a man with short-cropped hair and a suit grabbed her arm and yanked her out of the way”, Terris wrote in a column posted Thursday.

A campaign staffer should never forcibly grab a reporter, regardless of what outlet she works for. The Trump campaign didn’t respond to multiple requests on Wednesday and Thursday. “I saw what I saw”, said Terris in a brief chat with this blog. Solov added that if the accusation is true, Lewandowski “owes Michelle an immediate apology”.

A source who witnessed the incident tells Independent Journal Review that following the press conference, away from cameras, Trump was asked questions from press. For this reason, Terris had requested anonymity in Politico’s original report on the matter.

Fields: “I can’t believe he just did that that was so hard”.

Fields: “Nothing. I was asking about affirmative action”.

Fields: “Yeah, go for it – that was really terrible”.

Friday morning, the Trump campaign said the charge was “entirely false”.

I hope Jake Tapper asks Trump about this incident during tonight’s debate because he can put a stop to this nonsense if he wants especially if he plans to come off as presidential.
