Philadelphia Eagles trade Mark Sanchez to Denver Broncos
Sanchez is set to make $4.5 million in 2016 which is a friendly contract for a starter but high for a backup.

Mark Sanchez is once again involved in the Jets’ quarterback situation – this time indirectly. “This is the 1st step in our process”, general manager John Elway tweeted Friday. The Broncos are still looking for veteran help and will give heavy consideration to using a premium draft pick on a quarterback in April.
Super Bowl MVP Peytron Manning will retire from the National Football League, according to the Denver Broncos.
When asked what that meant for Sanchez, Pederson replied: “He could be the number three, but right now, we’re just evaluating that position as we do all the positions”.
Denver was desperate for a quarterback, and there were rumors the Broncos were trying to trade for the 49ers’ Colin Kaepernick.
Former Bronco quarterback Brock Osweiler signs with the Houston Texans in a huge 72 million dollar deal. He started the final eight games of 2014 and posted a career-best 88.4 passer rating while filling in for Nick Foles.
Sanchez, originally the No. 5 overall pick of the draft by the Jets in 2009, played in 13 games, with 10 starts for the Eagles in his two years with the team.

They’ve talked plenty inside the walls of their suburban Denver complex about how Robert Griffin III would fit in their offense – Griffin will likely take team visits and ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported Griffin had a visit scheduled with the New York Jets. They did lose not one but two quarterbacks, and presumably would need two to replace them unless they’re content to go with Sanchez and Trevor Siemian. The Broncos’ intended role for Sanchez was not immediately made clear.
