Secret Service surrounds Donald Trump as man attempts to breach security

“We agree with the Rubio campaign that the best chance to beat Donald Trump in OH is by voting for John Kasich, and in that spirit, Sen”.

Republican presidential candidate Ohio Gov. John Kasich meets with attendees during a campaign stop on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Xperion Energy & Environment in Heath, Ohio. “If you are a Republican primary voter in OH and you want to defeat Donald Trump, your best chance in OH is John Kasich, because John Kasich is the sitting governor, he’s very close to Donald Trump in some of the polls there”. And to think I’ve had such an easy life. “I’m telling you that”, Trump said.

Sanders also referred to an incident earlier this week in which a black protester was sucker-punched by a Trump supporter as he was being led out of a rally.

“We don’t know who he is”, he said. I’ve done great. I love this country.

Rubio told supporters that while he was now sticking with his pledge to back the nominee if he wasn’t the party’s choice, “it’s getting harder every day”.

Matt Miller, a Trump supporter who owns a body shop in Dayton, said he was standing near the podium when the agents took to the stage to protect Trump. “Any vote that doesn’t go to me is helping Donald Trump win the 99 delegates that this state will award to the victor”.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, the other candidate in the four-man Republican race, embraced the shift toward civility during his lone Florida appearance before heading to IL. They’ll be allocated proportionally, unless one candidate gets more than 50 percent of the vote, which would make it winner-take-all.

Donald Trump’s campaign for president has issued a statement about the decision to cancel a rally in Chicago.

The Florida Republican returned to a theme he advanced during CNN’s GOP debate Thursday – that words have consequences – as he weighed in on the protests at Trump’s Friday rally in Chicago.

Some Trump supporters seemed to stand with their candidate, and lay blame for the violence squarely on the shoulders of protesters, though video of the events clearly shows both protesters and supporters engaged in violence. The problem is leadership has never been about taking people’s anger and using it to get them to vote for you. Are they really that different, more moderate and reasonable as they like to make themselves out to be, than their national counterparts who are just shilling for the billionaires?

Rubio claimed fresh momentum in the state as he campaigned there Friday, but his rivals left him alone in Florida as the day progressed, preferring to campaign in more competitive territory across the Midwest as the Florida senator’s grasp on his home state appeared to be slipping.

Trump continued with his speech as the crowd chanted “USA”.

His rallies often attract small groups of protesters, but Friday’s was the first at which there may have been as many protesters as supporters. “And we had some people – some rough guys like we have right in here – and they started punching back”, Trump said. “And wasn’t letting go”, he said.
