Harry Styles to make film debut in Christopher Nolan action-thriller ‘Dunkirk’

Dunkirk is Nolan’s follow-up to the space epic Interstellar. New comer Fionn Whitehead has also signed on, though what roles any of the actors will play is still unknown.

The film also stars Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, and Kenneth Branagh and it centers around the British military evacuation of the French city of DunKirk in 1940.

The publication also notes that the production team would shoot at locations where the true-life event actually took place and it is scheduled to begin from May.

“Dunkirk” will be shot on a combination of Imax 65mm and 65mm large format film.

While the type of movie comes as something of a surprise (a World War II action-drama is not where the mind immediately wanders when thoughts of Harry-as-an-actor come up), rumors of his eventual foray into Hollywood have been circulating online for quite a while now. “We shall never surrender”, Churchill told as the rescue mission was concluding.

Dunkirk will hit the screens on July 21 next year.

And while Harry Styles has been reportedly gearing up to record his debut solo album like Zayn Malik, it looks like his career could be going in a completely different direction – becoming a movie star!

In November, Styles and the rest of One Direction released “Made in the A.M”.

Harry Styles has gone straight in at the top.
