The extra hour of daylight in the evening (ripped from the dawn) will end on November 6, when DST ends and we return to our normal clock time.
Daylight Saving Time is often debated every year, and the idea of abolishing it always seems to come up. This is because the internal clock of their body fails to make the necessary adjustment to reflect the change in their daily schedule.
No time change in Hawaii, most of Arizona, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas.
The Department of Energy says Germany became the first nation to use Daylight Saving Time in 1916, to save resources during World War I. The U.S. soon followed suit, but the country didn’t adopt a standard until 1966.
While the practice has its fair share of advantages, some people argue that the constant adjustment of clocks because of DST is causing them to lose at least an hour of sleep, which in turn significantly affects their health and work production. The military, airlines and other entities run on GMT, also known as UDT (Universal Time Coordinated).
“In addition to the benefits of energy savings, fewer traffic fatalities, more recreation time and increased economic activity, Daylight Saving Time helps clear away the winter blues a little earlier”, the Massachusetts Democrat told reporters. Find out when you should set your clocks back now!
The energy savings may be mythical as well: Researchers found switching to daylight saving uses 1% less energy for lighting but 2 to 3% more for heating and air-conditioning.

This got his scientific brain working, and he calculated that if he had slept until noon, as was usual in Paris, and then stayed awake six hours later in the evening, he would have “wasted” the free daylight and instead would have had to pay for artificial light. Those who need a new excuse for not showing up for church blame their absence on forgetting to change the clock and don’t wake up on time. When we asked you the question, the responses we got back were divided.
