She told the paper she was “literally the second person to have submitted a FOIA request to the Cheney archive for materials” once they became available for request past year.

Cheney is seen in several photos watching on a small square television in his office as smoke billows from the World Trade Center, and other photos show him with his glasses off and hands clasped.

This never-before-seen photograph is one of a collection released showing the immediate aftermath inside the White House as the September 11 terror attacks unfolded.

The emergency operations center is located underneath the White House. Both towers later collapsed. A third plane crashed into the Pentagon and a fourth was brought down in Pennsylvania.

Terrorists killed 2,996 people on September 11, 2001.

President George W Bush was visiting a school in Sarasota, Florida, when the attacks took place. The images show the reactions of various Government officials to the attacks.
