Former first lady Nancy Reagan died today at 94.

Gov. Phil Bryant and Mississippi Republican Party Chairman Joe Nosef both released statements on the passing. Theirs was one of our nation’s great love stories and a model of shared devotion to our country. The couple were married 52 years, and Nancy Reagan took care of her husband while he suffered from Alzheimer’s disease during the last decade of his life.
In addition to Ron, Nancy is survived by her stepson Michael and daughter Patti. I understand that sentiment in a very personal way.
“She was pulling together her staff and asked me if I would like to join her in the White House”, Robertson said.

While her fashion was something she often received criticism for at the time, Reagan’s influence has been lasting, with many first ladies following her footsteps opting for USA designers and timeless, fashionable looks for the position. She will be buried alongside Ronald at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. Funeral arrangements are still being finalized. Despite Ronald Reagan’s growing interest in politics, they still showed up at Hollywood events – although the acting grew less frequent. Mrs. Reagan was, in many ways, the driving force behind President Reagan and many of his achievements. And by the end, he no longer remembered her. “She will be deeply missed”.
