Those who love The Walking Dead as well as Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights will be happy to hear that construction on a new attraction is now underway at the Hollywood theme park.
The attraction will have Dead’s grisly seal of approval, with executive producer Greg Nicotero and his special-effects makeup team at KNB EFX Group on board to give the walkers a lifelike – make that death-like – appearance.
The attraction is set for its grand opening later this summer – so why not combine your visit to the West Coast with a go at fighting off the undead? In addition to the flagship series, AMC has post-show Talking Dead and pseudo-spinoff Fear the Walking Dead. The announcement of The Walking Dead Attraction came Sunday on Talking Dead, the chat show that follows weekly episodes the the hit AMC drama.
Other attractions at Universal Studios Hollywood include the rides “Fast & Furious Supercharged”, “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” and “Transformers: The Ride-3D” as well as the Universal studio backlot tour in the world’s largest working movie studio.
‘The Walking Dead’ is a phenomenon that has successfully and consistently affected the psyche of viewers on a global basis, since its debut.
We’ll have more details as the attraction prepares to open its doors this summer, but should we expect any difference from the Halloween Horror Nights event?
The addition to the theme park will be housed in a new custom-built structure just inside the main entryway of the studio.

The idea is a bit of a no-brainer for Universal Studios Hollywood.
