The last time Simmons sat down for an interview was for a 2013 New Year’s Eve interview with CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin, who asked him what his morning affirmations are.

Mauro Oliveira, a friend and former assistant of Simmons, claims that he’s is hiding because he’s under his housekeeper’s influence. “You need to do something, ‘” Oliveira recalled. Simmons spoke quietly, and told Oliveira that they could no longer be in contact.
“We were very close”, a friend told the News.
Similar reports of Simmons’ alleged problems have surfaced in the past. “The people that surround me are wonderful people who take great care of me”.
Simmons said he’s thankful for all the concern.
“Simmons stopped returning calls and emails more than two years ago, behaviour that is highly out of character”, claims the Daily News, “and his housekeeper is blocking access to him at home”.
“No, no, no!” Reveles shouted from the second floor, according to Oliveira.
“Later that evening, Richard called me and said that his manager and Teresa wanted to put a restraining order against me – you can see how controlling they are – and I said, ‘What restraining order?”

Now, friends of the fitness expert are concerned he is being held against his will and controlled by his longtime housekeeper. His one time palace of a home has become a gilded cage. “You haven’t seen the last of me”, Simmons declared.
In late 2014, People reported that Simmons himself had spoken out about his then yearlong absence, promising in a Facebook post that he would be back to help fans Party Off the Pounds as soon as he recovered from a knee injury. The tabloid added that it was Reveles who was standing guard over Simmons, regularly turning visitors away.
“I think it was [caused by] black magic, witchcraft”, Oliveira said.
That’s when things got really weird. They invoke the spirits.
Refuting the report, Simmons’ rep insisted that the pop culture icon is not missing but on a break from being in the public eye. The lawmaker left the word “Sorry” on a receipt instead of a tip. If it is truly his desire, this is the best way to make it happen.

“You know, I do what I want to do, as I’ve always done, so people should sort of just believe what I have to say because, like, I’m Richard Simmons!”.
