Serbian authorities were investigating after a cargo package was found containing two missiles, reportedly with explosive warheads, on a passenger flight from Lebanon, bound for Portland, Oregon.

They were discovered in wooden crates by bomb-sniffing dogs at Belgrade airport on Saturday, the Serbian source said.
An inert AGM 114 Hellfire missile that had arrived in Cuba by mistake in 2014 was retrieved last month by USA officials and Lockheed Martin representatives, the Cuban foreign ministry said.
A source at the prosecutor’s office in Serbia told Reuters the missiles had been due to be transferred to another plane. “They were packed in proper transportation crates and supplied with paperwork which is also being scrutinised”, the source said.
The missiles are presumably AGM-114 Hellfire, a universal precision missile that can be fired from ground, maritime or air platform, including predator strike drones.
BELGRADE, Serbia -The Lebanese army says two missiles found on a passenger flight from Lebanon to Serbia were used for training and did not contain any explosives, a US report said Monday. The Cubans returned the missile after its loss became public. According to Jennifer Adams, an Federal Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman, it seems like they are still looking into the issue and in a statement Adams gave, “We don’t have any information on that yet”. They were on an Air Serbia flight from Beirut. They are mostly laser-guided, but can home in on a target using onboard radar in some versions.
