‘Star Wars Episode VIII’ Unveils Behind-the-scenes Photo
When quizzed if she had been asked to return to the film, she told Slashfilm.com: “I can’t say much about it, but yes”. But there was one specific Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress that epitomized this mix: Carrie Fishers daughter Billie Lourd.

They’re just finished their first month of filming for Star Wars Episode VIII and to mark the occasion, Director Rian Johnson has posted the first photo from the set.
Lourd’s appearance in The Force Awakens was a nice little Easter egg, but could her role end up expanding into something more substantial? She was an Easter egg to pay homage to the Fisher legacy, but her character was Lieutenant Connix.
With Sith apprentice Kylo Ren to deal with, and other evil villains emerging, it seems likely General Leia will need a good lieutenant by her side.
Next time you watch Star Wars: Episode VII, (in case you needed an excuse to watch Episode VII again) look for a scene where Lourd asks her mom, “General, are you seeing this?”
The Star Wars Episode 8 filming in Dubrovnik is now leaking shots and pics like a well oiled machine.
Star Wars: Episode VIII is produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski.
