Odisha legislators ask Sonia, Rahul to remove chief whip
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is expected to discuss farmers’ issues including the Land bill that has led to a raging debate between the NDA and opposition, during his one-day visit to the state today.

Mrs Gandhi’s rare outburst reportedly came after other lawmakers complained that Mr Tharoor had breached party discipline.
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi would undertake a “padayatra” and interact with farmers, weavers and women from self-help groups in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh during a visit on July 24. The country has many serious problems. “We have taken action against our CMs”, he said.
Rahul was himself not against “disruption tactics” – at least for the first week of the monsoon session – till the Congress reviewed its strategy next week, the Express report said.
Congress MPs also plan to stage a dharna tomorrow in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the Parliament House complex to demand action against those involved in the scam which the party is insisting is bigger than the 2G spectrum allocation scam. Third, Tharoor is learnt to have argued that the government will, in all likelihood, brazen out the opposition attack.
Lack of coordination and “leaks” of closed-door meeting deliberations is spoiling Congress’ strategy in Parliament to check the Modi government and the BJP on the issues of scams, scandals and corruption. The Congress has been demanding the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and the chief ministers of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh over Lalitgate and Vyapam.
