Dele Alli: Tottenham Must “Make Sure to Kill Off” Aston Villa
The pair combined again shortly after the break as Kane fired home his 19th league goal of the season, with Villa’s shambolic defending continuing.

BIRMINGHAM, England (AP) – Harry Kane scored twice as Tottenham kept the pressure on Premier League leader Leicester with a 2-0 victory at bottom club Aston Villa on Sunday, provisionally moving Spurs to within two points of their title rivals.
England travel to France to contest the European Championship in June as they bid to win the tournament for the first time in their history.
Tottenham Hotspur and Mauricio Pochettino are now just two points behind Leicester, who have a game in hand over the North London team.
Tottenham were quickest off the blocks after the restart, too, when Lamela played in Alli down the left whose cross was met by Kane for his second of the game.
“I am happy with team and now we need to lift the players because it was a big hit for us (against Dortmund)”. In all difficulties, we are still alive and we still believe we can win enough games to be safe. Rotherham’s late leveller earned Nicola two crucial points for a correct result and, with five players tied on 24 points, her guess of the 9th minute for the Golden Goal was the closest to the correct 11th minute.
The Foxes had gone odds-on by Saturday night after Manchester City failed to win at Norwich, but, with Tottenham making no such mistake at Aston Villa on Sunday, Claudio Ranieri’s men have been eased slightly.
The striker simply blew Villa away after his side suffered a heavy defeat in the Europa League in Dortmund in midweek.
Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier will be back in the side against Villa. “We created more chances and played well”.
Kane charged in on goal and took one touch before drilling a left foot shot past Guzan into the bottom of the net to give Spurs the lead.
“It gets harder to do with each defeat and we have to improve in a lot of areas if we are to survive, but we will keep on fighting until it’s mathematically impossible”.
“The first one was a lack of concentration, a lack of experience and we know that when we concede a goal now, we become a little fragile”.

“You can not stop the dream of the supporters and they are right to dream”. We have to improve in a lot of areas. Against such an accomplished team, it will require Spurs’ best performance for many seasons to overturn the deficit and reach the quarter-finals. So we’ll see what happens come the end of the season.
