Frank Sinatra Jr., the son of the legendary entertainer who had a long musical career of his own, died Wednesday, said manager Andrea Kauffman.

At the age of 19, a group of men kidnapped Sinatra at gunpoint in 1963 from a Lake Tahoe casino and held him captive until his father paid a $240,000 ransom.

The 72-year-old singer fell ill and canceled a performance in Daytona before being taken to the Halifax Health Medical Center, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reported.
