More than 230 developers and publishers are now working on PS VR titles, including EVE: Valkyrie, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, and PlayStation VR WORLDS.
This means you will be able to play every PlayStation 4 game using the Virtual Reality headset.
However Sony announced during its press conference at GDC that it would be releasing its VR alternative, the PlayStation VR, in October with the price tag of $399. The Playroom VR will include six games that can be enjoyed with friends and family, demonstrating why we believe VR can also be an impactful experience when it’s shared.
The PS VR headset is cheaper than the Oculus Rift, available for pre-order at approximately £425 ($600), and the HTC Vive, which costs £689 to pre-order.
The device will also come with an OLED screen that displays images at 120Hz, 360-degree vision as well as 3D audio. Project Morpheus, as it was then known, was to be powered by the company’s then just released games console the PlayStation 4 with motion controller duties handled by PlayStation move controllers. However, House said in a blog that they wanted to take the time needed to aim a quick mass adoption for their new product and have enough number of supplies to match the public’s demand.
PlayStation VR was a huge part of the PlayStation Experience a year ago.
The most anticipated Star Wars Battlefront game will be exclusively available on PlayStation VR, as the company has associated with game development companies such as EA Sports and Lucasfilm.
