Family: Vehicle Pulled from Mississippi River Matches Missing Wis. Woman’s Vehicle Description

As of 2 p.m., more than 130 volunteers showed up to Bluffs Bar in Hager City throughout the day to help with the search.

Christiansen, 23, who lives with her boyfriend and her two children near Hager City, Wis., was heading home about 2:30 a.m. Saturday after socializing with friends in Red Wing, Minn.

The sheriff’s office was assisted in the search effort by the Wisconsin State Patrol; Civil Air Patrol; Minnesota agencies from Red Wing and Goodhue County; and the woman’s friends and family. Using that technology, they spotted part of a tire; at that point, the dive team was called to the scene, the sheriff’s office said. Officers were seen examining an embankment between Highway 63 and the boat launch.

He updated about 60 people of friends and family at the American Legion in Red Wing Tuesday.

Authorities turned their focus to reviews of video surveillance, additional witness interviews and a check of Christiansen’s bank activity for clues to her whereabouts.

River Falls resident Cindy Constantineau, Marya Christiansen’s aunt, said she’s staying positive as the search effort continues. She was last seen leaving a friend’s house in Red Wing, MN, driving a white van (2006 Dodge Caravan) with Wisconsin plates 443 – VPF.

Hove said since Christiansen is an adult, authorities have to allow for the possibility that she intentionally disappeared.

“We pretty much hung together as a group, we stuck together there was never a time Marya was ever alone”, she said. That my daughter would be missing and I need to find out where she is’.

She has blonde hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a red short-sleeve shirt, black leggings and black boots.
