Off-spinner Anisa Mohammed became the first bowler in history to take 100 Twenty20 worldwide wickets as she spearheaded a brilliant West Indies Women bowling effort, to help dispose of Pakistan Women by four runs in a close Women’s Twenty20 World Cup contest here yesterday.

The opener was hit on the hand by a bouncer from Shamilia Connell that then hit the grille of her helmet, and she was carried off on a stretcher. She got hit between the jaw and the neck, resulting in a serious injury.
Later, she was stretchered off the pitch before being taken to the nearby Apollo Hospital.
The rest of the team will fly to Delhi on Thursday but Khan has not yet been cleared to leave hospital.
Ashhar said she would not comment on Khan’s chances of playing against India until she had seen the medical report. “We may have lost but I am happy with the way the girls performed”, said Pakistan’s captain Sana Mir.
West Indies captain Stafanie Taylor anchored the innings with 40, joining Englands Charlotte Edwards and Sarah Taylor as the only batters to complete 2,000 runs in women’s Twenty20 Internationals.
The West Indies, during the match on Wednesday, were sent into bat after losing toss and restricted to 103/8.
But in reply, Pakistan could only manage 99/5 in a Group B match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Bisma Mahroof (22), Sidra Ameen (20), Asmavi Iqbal (19 not out), Mir (18) and Muneeba Ali (15) managed double digit scores, but none of them could make it big.

Shemaine Campbelle (14) and Stacy-Ann King (12) added 21 for the seventh wicket, allowing West Indies Women to eke out precious runs at the end.
