Will Melissa McCarthy Appear in ‘Gilmore Girls’ Revival After All?

However, McCarthy herself stated that she won’t be part of the “Gilmore Girls” revival since she is very busy. Meanwhile, the majority of the cast – includingLauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore), Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore), Jared Padalecki (Dean Forester), Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano) and Matt Czuchry (Logan Huntzberger) – have all signed on.
“I am thrilled that they are doing it. I am not doing it”, McCarthy, 45, told Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday, March 16.
“I want to cook again”.
McCarthy did find time recently to reunite with her co-star Yanic Truesdale, who played her Dragonfly Inn co-worker, Michel Gerard.
She added, “That was seven years of my life and it was really great”.
Though it seemed that there might have been bad blood between Melissa McCarthy and the rest of the crew over in Stars Hollow, she’s confirmed that her absence from Gilmore Girls stems from a misunderstanding about her busy schedule.
Melissa is one of the only cast members from the original show to not return for the continuation. “I was proud of that show”, she said.
“Gilmore Girls” is finally coming back.
