Women of ‘The Voice’ Ruled the Battle Round
Tonight, The Voice coaches continue to trim down their team in the Battle Rounds. Then on Team Christina, Chelsea and Kata channelled their inner Melissa Etheridge and proved there could be only one.

Tune in for the next Battle Rounds on The Voice on NBC. When describing Hay, Levine referred to her as a firecracker. Despite the fact that Whisnant, like Shelton, hails from Oklahoma, you had to figure Sarah was going to get it, given that she’d turned four chairs to Whisnant’s two, has been working in Nashville, and has already had some country-music success, including a duet album featuring the likes of Dolly Parton.
The final spots were almost filled up for the final Blind Auditions with one more contestant each needed for team Shelton, Aguilera and Levine while two more spots were open on Williams’ team. Even though Crosbie was traunced by Nick Hagelin and Smith fell to Hannah Huston they each found a home on other teams. Aguilera liked how they were two different singers and had really nice style. And they both killed it, leaving Aguilera with a tough choice.
“The Voice” fans, your Monday just got a whole lot better. I loved Kata during her audition and think she is a great performer and has great stage presence. They gave it the edgy sound with their country twang. Xtina chooses Tamar to keep on her team because “she’s been waiting a long time for this and she deserves this and she killed it”. Shelton, who has been needling Aguilera all season, tried to undercut her by pushing his own button for Smith, making a half-hearted play for the singer.
Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that Christina Aguilera is not happy and is jealous about the fact that Gwen Stefani, together with Blake Shelton, has won over the producers. With that, only Aguilera has a spot left which was later filled up by Ayanna Jahneé, who sang “Skyfall”, showing a powerful performance that definitely fits Aguilera’s team.
