Coaches Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Pharrell Williams, and Blake Shelton built their teams up during the Blind Auditions, but now they must tear them down.

Reports have been circulating that Christina Aguilera is not on friendly terms with former “The Voice” coach Gwen Stefani. Despite the fact that Whisnant, like Shelton, hails from Oklahoma, you had to figure Sarah was going to get it, given that she’d turned four chairs to Whisnant’s two, has been working in Nashville, and has already had some country-music success, including a duet album featuring the likes of Dolly Parton.
Tonight, “The Voice” did more than just kick off the Blind Auditions. To help mark the occasion, the show is leaning on the star power of its coaches for an incredible joint performance that will get the ball rolling on the next phase of the hit reality singing competition. Shelton, Levine and Aguilera sing at the front of the stage while Williams one-ups them by not only singing, but playing the drums as well. Kata Hay later defeated Chelsea Gann to the tune of I’m the Only One, causing Gann to take her final bow. Hay was tasked with gaining more control, Gann with loosening up a bit. Aguilera liked how they were two different singers and had really nice style.
Nate Butler and Natalie Yacovazzi from Team Adam sing their advisor Tori Kelly’s “Hollow”. Aguilera thought they’d been “neck and neck”. Xtina chooses Tamar to keep on her team because “she’s been waiting a long time for this and she deserves this and she killed it”. No one stole Yacovazzi, but her cute young daughter was happy to have her come home with her, which was sweet. The result is incredible, but in hopes of keeping her team as strong as possible, Christina picks Kata, who’s actually a country singer, to stick around.
On Twitter, Maya describes herself as “a hippie at heart”.

Apparently, Aguilera is close friends with Miranda Lambert – Blake Shelton’s ex-wife.
