Titans, linebacker Sean Spence agree to contract
The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a one-year contract with linebacker Sean Spence. Spence was the recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award with the Steelers in 2014.

-Following some visits to the Miami Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars, he made a trip to Nashville where the Titans didn’t let him leave. Spence, the Steelers’ third-round pick in 2012, was an unrestricted free agent. He is the sixth free agent to sign with the Titans since free agency officially began. He suffered a serious knee injury during the preseason and was declared out for the entire 2012 season.

As Labriola mentioned, Spence also has familiarity with the Titans’ defensive style since defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau was on Pittsburgh’s staff during Spence’s first three seasons with the team. He is 27 25 years old and has played in 31 games in the last two seasons. Spence is probably hoping for a two-year deal, but that isn’t going to happen. Spence will compete to start next to ILB Avery Williamson and pitch in on special teams covering kicks and punts. Wesley Woodyard started 11 games at the other inside linebacker spot.
