Still hoping to explore Silent Hills?

While the cancelled project the duo were working on was still “in the planning stages”, del Toro said the goal was to “really push the boundaries” of PlayStation 4 and create “a game that really messes with your head”.
Oh good…because we needed another heart attack.
Speaking to IGN, Del Toro said that “I love working with Kojima-san“. We are still in touch.
Hideo Kojima, Del Toro and Konami had a little arguement that eventually led to the cancellation of Silent Hills.
As two of the most beloved creators in their respective field, news of a partnership between Kojima and del Toro is music to our ears. Prior to Silent Hills, he dipped into the world of video games a couple of times, first with the poorly received Hellboy: The Science of Evil (he was peripherally involved with that one) and later with Insane, an extravagant horror trilogy that was to be released by THQ until the publisher shut down. Unfortunately, Konami being Konami, the project was unceremoniously cancelled, something we can’t help but attribute to the company’s changing relationship with Kojima. After playing P.T., we were even more stoaked for the possibillity. Today however, fans can once again rejoice, as Del Toro announced that their collaboration had not come to an end.
