Two officers injured, four arrested during the Trump rally protests in Chicago
“We’ve got to fight back”, Trump said from inside of an airport hangar in Dayton. “They’re allowed to swing and punch the hell out of people”.

Police said five people were arrested, including CBS News reporter Sopan Deb. Two officers were injured, with one requiring stitches, police said. They’re at Clinton’s, Sanders’, Cruz’s, and Rubios…well, no one is going to Rubio’s lately. Trump anxious that someone might get harmed during his appearance.
But he says people who are still wavering may have a different reaction. “These are the people that are destroying our country”.
Trump blames his protester problem on an organized effort by Senator Sanders to plague Trump rallies with minority protesters so that Trump will look like a heartless racist when he has them removed. John McGraw allegedly sucker-punched a man being escorted out by police at a North Carolina rally.
“He was a rough guy, and he was punching. It’s not violent. It’s a protester that stands up or probably a disruptor, because I think they’re sent there by people on the other side”, he said. “It was a attractive thing”.
Trump also said late last month that he wants to “open up libel laws” so he can sue media publications that write negative and, in his view, inaccurate news stories. “They don’t talk about the love”.
“We’re going to go strongly for your arrest”, he said.
The cancellation, which came amid large protests both inside and outside the event at the University of IL at Chicago, follows heightened concerns about violence in general at the GOP front-runner’s rallies.
“We have heard vulgar and divisive rhetoric aimed at women and minorities”, Obama said Tuesday at a Friends of Ireland luncheon on Capitol Hill, in an apparent reference to the Republican front-runner, real estate developer Donald Trump. “U.S.!” and “Illegal is illegal”.
Trump spoke to MSNBC, saying that “there’s a lot of anger in this country”, but refusing to believe that any of it is legitimately directed at him or his campaign, which at this point amounts to living in denial, no? I will pay the legal fees.’ That is an outrage.
However, 19-year-old Rusty Shackleford of Lombard, in line to attend the Trump rally, said he was there to “support the man who wants to make America great again”.
Trump mused that he would be open to holding more town hall rallies, venues that are smaller to accommodate more personal one-on-one interaction between the voter and candidate.
